“I Just Thought You’d Like to Know” is one of Johnny Cash’s 1958 songs, known as a “honky-tonk-infused tale of a woman getting ready to leave her lover and the pain it is causing the singer”. It is said that, Cash’s “family’s economic and personal struggles during the Great Depression inspired many of his songs, especially those about other people facing similar difficulties.” His mother taught him guitar as well as one of his childhood friends, which led him to start writing songs at the age of 12. “He is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, having sold more than 90 million records worldwide. Cash was able to be inducted in the Country Music, Rock and Roll, and Gospel Music Halls of Fame.”
